Geometry is a field that deals with spatial relationships and how shapes and objects fit into space. Along with arithmetic, it was one of the first sub-fields of mathematics.

We believe the use of physical objects in space, along with creative and abstract thinking, can help students better grasp the tough concepts in geometry. We think tutors should ask questions that prompt students to verbalize their thinking about geometry.

One of the toughest sections of geometry is the creation of complex proofs — not necessarily even solving problems. Therefore, we like to encourage students to provide us with “mini-proofs” and “informal-proofs” as we progress throughout the year of geometry.
